Making the most of the available light

What I hate about living here is the microclimates.  Keen example: picking up SC and it was warm.  No, actually it was hot.  But probably not hot by any normal human being’s standards but by our area’s standards, it was hot.  The kind of hot when you are caught off guard and you find yourself sweating in areas that you wish you weren’t.

It was about 75 degrees.  Yes, this is very hot for us here in the city.  SC and I decided to take advantage of such nice weather and walk to the park. And guess what?  As typical of the stupid fog etc, about 20 minutes into playing at the park, it was freezing off our asses weather!

Of course we had no jackets.  We were in shorts!  Luckily for me, I bribed SC with a cookie and another round of Cars to get him to hop into his stroller and walk home with me.  Even in the limited time that we had at the park today, SC was a mess.  Dirty, sandy, drooly… messy combination.

The bath tonight was not as eventful as it usually is. He simply sat and played.  When we got out he got some milk and a few graham cracker letter cookies (he kept looking and saying, “look mom! U and 2”) and we watched half an hour of cars. AGAIN.

Amazing feat number one: SC ALMOST went to bed in his own bed.  So close.  So very close.  I went to the bathroom and came back to find him snuggling down with his stuffed animals in my bed.  Sigh.  One day….
